Event Email

If you missed the email when you first registered your child for an event, here it is:

Thank you for registering your child for Coder Kids Club. We’re super excited about having them join us! There is a lot of very important information in this email, so please read the whole thing.

DIRECTIONS

Please check the location for the event! We often hold events at our office, but also host events elsewhere, so always check the event to make sure you will be going to the correct venue.

 

Parking at the office can sometimes be a challenge. We have two reserved spots out front, which we’ll try to keep clear for parents, but if they’re not available, please park in any other unreserved spot. There are also spaces around the back of the building.

If you have any trouble finding the office, or any other venue, give us a call at 301-789-1815. Dial extension 4 when prompted, and you’ll be connected to the main line at the office, so someone can guide you to the venue. If we don’t answer, please leave a message, and we’ll call you back ASAP!

REQUIRED FORMS

Your child’s health and safety are very important to us. If your child is attending a drop-off class, please complete all of the required forms prior to bringing your child to the club, to help us with that. A parent or guardian must complete the forms. If you will be bringing a friend’s child with you, please make sure that child’s parent or guardian completes the form, or we cannot allow the child to stay with us. If your child is attending an event, and you will be staying for the entire event, we need you to complete only the release.

We have two ways to complete the forms, depending on the type of class your child is attending.

  • For after school enrichment programs held at your child’s school, please complete the online form: ASEP Participant Form. Only complete this form if your child is attending an after school program at his or her school.
  • For all other classes, camps, and drop-off events, please complete the printable forms: Required Forms

DROP-OFF AND PICK-UP

When you arrive at the venue, please bring your child inside, and check in with staff. We’ll make sure you have all of the required forms, payment, and anything else we might need before you leave. Unless you have registered for before care in advance, we ask that you wait until about 5 minutes before your scheduled start time to drop off your child, as we’ll be busy setting up until that time.

For pick-up, one of the required forms has several spaces for you to list everyone authorized to pick up your child. We will only release your child to an authorized person! Please come inside at pick-up time, and after a staff member verifies you’re authorized to pick someone up, you’ll be allowed to take your child. Depending on the event, we might invite you into the event area to see what your child made, or we’ll send the children out to meet you.

CAMPS

If your child is attending a multi-day camp, please check the Camp Materials page, to see if there are any materials listed for the camp. We ask that you bring the materials by the second day of camp, unless otherwise noted in the materials list. Please note that materials are always optional, and your child can do alternate activities if you do not provide them.

FOOD

We don’t provide food at events, unless otherwise noted in the description for the event, and very highly recommend that you send a snack and drink in with your child if he or she will be here longer than 2 hours. For children attending a full-day class or camp, we recommend that you send 2 snacks, a drink, and a lunch. If your child has dietary restrictions and/or allergies, please let us know in advance.
