Open Play – Fall 2017

Play with our toys! Kids will have a chance to experiment with robots, circuit kits, and more. This is a great way to see if some of the cool tech toys you’ve seen in the store are worth the investment. Some of the toys we have available include:

  • Bloxels
  • Dash & Dot
  • K’Nex
  • littleBits
  • Snap Circuits

If there is a particular toy you would like to see available on a given night, please let us know. Otherwise we’ll have a rotating selection out for the kids to try, along with our bricks and mini-figures. Open Play is a drop-off activity for kids in K-8. School-based Wonder League Robotics Club members may use their practice vouchers to register for individual sessions, but a parent or guardian must stay with them at all times. If you wish to drop your child off for Open Play, please do not use a practice voucher.

Please note that we won’t have the computers running during Open Play; this is for our non-computer tech toys.

Each week is pretty standalone, so your child can join in at any time! This class is only offered as a drop-in

Individual, weekly, drop-in sessions are $18 per week. Please register in advance.

Open Play will take a short hiatus for Winter Break, but will return in January. So those of you with practice vouchers, make sure you save some for 2018!

School is Out Mini-Camp – Fall 2017

Schools are closed for the day, and by popular demand, we will be open! We don’t have a set schedule of lessons for these mini-camps, and will choose activities based on the interests of the kids who attend. Some activities we have done in the past include:

  • Play Minecraft and other games on the computers and tablets
  • Enjoy a rousing game of Monopoly, Uno, Life, or one of the many other board and card games we have available
  • Experiment with STEM toys, like Snap Circuits, littleBits, Dash & Dot, and more
  • Watch music videos and have a dance party

This camp is appropriate for kids in grades K through 8.

Important: Camp is held from 9am-4pm each day. We will add before (8-9am, $10) and/or after (4-6pm, $20) care if we have enough requests for it, so please let us know in the order notes if you need it. Food is not provided at camps, so please make sure your child has lunch, snacks, and drinks for the day.
