STEAM Lab Open Play – Thursdays – Spring 2018

Play with our toys! Kids will have a chance to experiment with robots, circuit kits, and more. We’ll have stations set up for kids to try some or all of the following:

  • Bloxels
  • Dash & Dot
  • K’Nex
  • littleBits
  • LEGO bricks
  • Ozobots
  • Snap Circuits
  • Stop-Motion Animation

Sometimes we will also have a guided, make-and-take project that kids can complete for an additional cost. We will have information available during check-in for these projects, and you can pay during drop-off if you wish for your child to do that project.

Each week is pretty standalone, so your child can join in at any time!

Make-and-take projects will typically cost $2-5, to help cover the cost of materials.

School-based Wonder League Robotics Club members may use their practice vouchers to register for individual sessions, but must stay with their child for the duration of the session.

STEAM Lab Open Play will take place on Thursdays, January 11-June 114, except for March 29 (22 sessions total).

Minecraft Club – Mondays – Spring 2018

Does your child love Minecraft? Drop him or her off for our weekly, 90-minute, fun, and (semi-) educational Minecraft sessions! Each month we offer a themed unit in Minecraft. The kids will explore, build, and play, while they learn a bit of history, language arts, geography, science, math, and more.

The only pre-requisite is a desire to play Minecraft! We do use the PC version of Minecraft for this class, so kids should have some familiarity with that, or a willingness to learn. This club is for kids in K through 7.

Minecraft Club meets on Mondays, 6-7:30pm, January 8-June 11, except for the following dates:

  • January 15
  • February 19
  • April 2
  • May 28

We will have a total of 19 sessions for this series.

Topics for Spring 2018

This list is subject to change.

  • January: Frozen
  • February: Famous Landmarks
  • March-April: Spring
  • May-June: Animals, Real and Otherwise

You can sign up for the entire series, or if space is available, register for a single session. Each week is pretty standalone, so your child can join in at any time, but because we often do build challenges, we very highly recommend signing up at the start of each topic.

Individual, weekly, drop-in sessions are $18 per week, and will only be available starting on the Friday before a session, if we aren’t already full with full-series kids. Please register in advance. This club often sells out in advance, and we might not have any space for walk-ins.
